At the Observatory, a guided tour will take you to the highest point of the mountain, to take in the spectacular views of the local region & on the Anglo-Australian Telescope tour, where you can wonder through the restricted area of the site, hear a talk about the history of the telescope & research it has participated in over the years.

OLD ERROWANBANG WOOLSHED

Old Errowanbang Woolshed is a heritage-listed shearing shed at Errowan Park, Old Errowanbang Lane, Errowanbang, It was designed by Watt and built in 1886. The shed is unique in that it is constructed on four levels, all of which can be operated separately depending on demand. From the exterior these levels are clearly seen as distinct wings radiating from a central control room. The large complex has 40 shearing stands, of which 26 have never been adapted for mechanical shearing.

The Berida Wool shed gives people a glimpse into the history of the Australian wool industry. Upon entering the wool shed, which was built in 1899, visitors see a range of historic memorabilia, including photos, letter and antique farm equipment. Visitors also walk through the shearers’ huts and view life as an 1800’s shearer.

At Emu Logic they are highly experienced and knowledgeable in the raising of emus and the production of quality emu oil, feathers, meat, eggs and jerky.
