Those who know me, get sick of me banging on about it. But I can’t get enough of this place.

It’s got something for everyone - from the kids right through to grandma and grandpa.

There’s stunning scenery, fascinating history, fun activities, so much culture - and the food… my goodness. It’s just on another level.

Our family favourite activity is the Fish Fry. The locals prepare the meal, which consists of fish they have caught THAT DAY and traditional salads and desserts.

The fish is tender and fresh. The batter the fish is cooked in is a local recipe.

I don’t really think there’s anything better than a bunch of great people, gathered around delicious food, with live music - and a view that cannot be rivalled.

Our accommodation has been thoroughly researched over the years and we’ve found one that ticks all the boxes. It’s got great service, it’s central, and it’s up market enough, so that you feel pampered. Like you are really ‘on holiday.’

But it’s not so fancy that you’re scared to walk on the carpet after you’ve been to the beach.
