Lights… Camera… Action!
There’s nothing quite like grabbing a friend, getting all dressed up and going to a show.
You head to the theatre a little early and grab a cocktail, while everyone stands waiting excitedly, in anticipation of a fantastic evening.
The bell sounds, everyone heads to their seats. The lights dim - the signal to quiet down and wait for the actors to get in their positions.
The curtain comes up, the music starts - and it’s SHOWTIME!
Off to the big city
We know Dubbo has some spectacular talent right here in our backyard. We love to head to shows here and in Orange. There are some amazing performances on offer.
We run tours for people from the smaller surrounding towns to see shows in Dubbo at the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.
Unfortunately, when some of the big international acts come to Australia, the regions get overlooked and you have to head to the major cities to get a piece of the action.
This doesn’t have to be a negative thing. Grabbing some mates, packing your bags and heading to the big smoke is really exciting. And - it doesn’t have to be stressful when you travel with Langley’s.
We do all the heavy lifting
When you book a Theatre Tour with us, we take care of all the details, so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
Not only do we get you to the city - we have your accomodation and ticket sorted, we take you to the theatre, we bring you back to the hotel and we get you home.
You don’t have to worry about city driving, parking, getting a cab - or even booking a ticket. We always nab the best seats - either premium or ‘A Reserve’ - and they are included in your package. (We have a great relationship with the ticketing companies.)
The North Sydney Harbourview is where we choose to stay on any trip to Sydney. They look after us, we are able to get great deals - and it has cracking views. It really adds to the ‘city experience.’
A huge variety to choose from
There are so many sensational shows to choose from, we have a hard time containing ourselves when choosing which ones to book.
Some are a real stand out and we expect them to be popular - like André Rieu, who books out quicker than you can say ‘Johann Strauss Orchestra.’
Then there are some that surprise you, like Mrs Brown’s Boys. We weren’t sure if many of our customers were fans, as it’s certainly a different kind of humour that not all appreciate. But we were astounded to have some of our more, shall we say, ‘classy’ regulars - come in wanting tickets! (I think the show is hilarious, but I’m probably not what one would call elegant.)
We also head to Disney on Ice and the The Book of Mormon, both of which are also very popular.
But one we are really excited about at the moment is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The reviews of this magnificent show overseas have been glowing. The way the directors have brought Roald Dahl’s tale to life is ingenious. It includes songs from the original film, like Pure Imagination and I’ve Got a Golden Ticket, alongside new songs that will get you tapping your feet.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is going to be opening in January next year, at the Capitol Theatre - which is just a stunning venue.
We love bringing our customers opportunities that everyone in the family can enjoy, and this really is one of those.
Bring your kids, bring the grandkids, because they will all love it. Get your golden ticket today!
Keep an eye out
We have some pretty special things planned for next year, so keep your eyes on our site to book ahead, so you don’t miss out.
Some of the things in the diary are Muriel’s Wedding, Chicago, Saturday Night Fever and Billy Elliot.
Feel free to give us a call or pop in if you want more details about any of these once in a lifetime shows!
