Memory Lane: It’s the Langley’s service that keeps us coming back
A story from our customers, Kathryn and Samuel Sloan
My husband and I have done a lot of travel over the past six years. Our first Langley’s coach tour was to the Bright Autumn Festival - since then we’ve been loyal customers, booking as many adventures as we can. We’ve done the Great Ocean Road, Murray Princess and Adelaide, King Island, Broken Hill, Floriade, Glen Davis, Armidale, Toowoomba Flowers, Blue Mountains Luxury and several others.
We are not long haul travellers, as you can see. Most of these tours were to places we could have gotten in the car and taken ourselves to (and even saved a bit of money.) But, that’s not the point.
Right from our very first trip with Langley’s, we knew - this is the way to see our country. The value of the service they provide is immeasurable.
And when I think about it - it’s the things you don’t have to worry about with Langley’s that keeps us coming back. You don’t get the navigational issues at every turn. You don’t get the stress of worrying about whether you’ve booked a shabby motel. You don’t need to question where your next meal is coming from - and you don’t have to settle for Maccas for dinner!
You don’t get whisked from point A to point B straight down the freeway and miss all the interesting bits along the way - that you didn’t even know existed! You don’t get fed up with paying entrance fees everywhere you go, because they have been included in the tour price.
Langley’s takes all that away. They sort everything for you - and they do an exceptional job. They’ve been doing this a long time, so they know which accommodation to book. They know which activities are worth doing. They know where the good food is. They know where the good people are.
All you have to do is sit back in your comfortable seat and watch the world go by, often with an interesting commentary! When you get to your destination for the day you know an excellent dinner will not be too long away and later - your bed will be even better.
But the best part is, you get to share the days and evenings with like-minded interesting people - and all the while your car has had a lovely rest at the yard! And you don’t have to cross your fingers for a good driver or particular staff, because they are all incredible.
One of my favourite times of the year is when the Langley's brochure comes out at the end of every year and we sit down to plan our next adventures. The itineraries are always so well put together. You can guarantee there will be plenty of interesting stops along the way that could be easily bypassed, if you are planning the trip yourself. But they know what they’re doing. Every day, even long travel days are full and enjoyable.
After each tour, we always come home completely satisfied, with new memories to share. It’s not usually the destination that is the highlight - but the journey there and back.
Thank you Phil and Fiona. We cannot wait till we can get back to it.
